Communication data and service safety

When rooms are used, BlaTube may process and store communication data: chat messages, audio and video call data, call recordings, and technical room and call events.

This storage is used for service safety, technical incident investigation, dispute resolution, access audit and compliance with applicable Russian legal requirements.

The legal basis for such storage may include applicable Russian law, including Article 10.1 of Federal Law No. 149-FZ “On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection” and applicable secondary acts, if those requirements apply to the service.

The retention period is determined by BlaTube policy and applicable legal requirements. Access to such data is restricted by internal procedures, granted only to authorized persons with a valid basis, and logged.

Channels, friends and notifications

To operate persistent channels, BlaTube processes account identifiers, channel membership and membership history, assigned roles, invitations, access restrictions, mutes, blocks, last activity time, friend requests and relations, and related notifications and read timestamps.

A member's name, public account handle and avatar may be visible to other members of the same channel. Channel owners and moderators also see data needed to manage invitations, former members and banned accounts.

This data is used to provide channel features, prevent duplicate requests and abuse, enforce access settings and protect the service. It is retained while the relevant feature is used and afterwards for periods needed for safety, dispute resolution and applicable legal requirements.
